Bar none worst Frying pan ever

I have been cooking for over 40 years. As the title says this is bar none THE WORST FRYING PAN IN THE WORLD. I don't get the hype. The non-stick is a joke. While it may be a heavy frying pan, I can fry bacon in there on low only. Put a few eggs in there after...swimming in bacon fat. They will still stick to the bottom of the pan. Carbonara? Forget about it. You will have a stuck mess of burnt crud to clean out every single time after using this pan. I rarely leave one star reviews. I would leave zero if I could. P.S. I only ever use plastic or silicone utensils in and of my non stick pans. If you were to use metal in this pan it would remove the coating in one shot EASILY.

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • A: I agree with Compufly. Heritage The Rock is a premium product. I have the 12 inch frying pan and it's the best cookware item I own. It surpasses my expectations no matter the size of mess I make. I've given it as wedding and housewarming gifts and am getting one for my mother-in-law for the holidays. How it compares to the Starfrit version, I'm not sure but I can't see how the pan I have can be anywhere close in category to that budget brand.

Q: What is the non stick material or chemical? Is it teflon? What creates this non stick feature? Curious as I am trying to avoid carcinogenic materials.

  • A: Not sure the capacity I can give U measurements so U can figure out the capacity. Its a big frying pan for sure........3.5" high.....10" across by the measurements - it holds a lot of food! My experience - it's heavy but wud I buy it again.....for sure, it's skookum! good luck, I'm extremely pleased with the pan - very heavy
