The problem with reviews is that they are encouraged soon after purchase. To me, one of the major determinations is how reliable the item is. This scale worked great until it didn't. It lasted about a year. Contrast this to another scale I bought for three times the price, but it lasted 30 years. If this scale sold for $2.00, then it would compare well. I took it apart to see if any wires had come loose or anything degraded. No, all looked good, so it looks like it's clock ran out.

Q: How accurate is it for very light-weight items - such as spices and herbs. The scale I currently own is no good for such things but is fine for heavier foods.
