Q: Is this product dishwasher safe (except the fact that the it will discolor the appearance)? Disregard the appearance changes, can we put it in the dishwasher? Will it anyhow harm the inner material or quality? (my dishwasher's max temperature is 150F)

- A: Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. These pots have a “riveted” base meaning that the SS plate on the bottom has perforations which the aluminum pan body is pressed through in order to bond the SS plate to the aluminum pan. Because of this production process, it leaves aluminum “dots” on the bottom of the pan exposed and unprotected. Exposed aluminum is subject to corrosion when in contact harsh dishwashing chemicals. So, if the product were put in the dishwasher, the aluminum “dots” on the bottom would discolour quite quickly. This would provide only an aesthetic impact to the appearance of the product. Over time though, there is somewhat of a risk of the aluminum deteriorating and the SS induction plate separating from the aluminum pan body, and for this reason, we do not recommend dishwasher use on this product. If a fully dishwasher safe, non-stick product is desired, I would recommend the Paderno Signature Hard Anodized cookware set (142-3467).3 years agoHelpful?
