Do not think it is as accurate as my other weather forecaster. Not as sturdy. Is missing some info that I had on previous device. The buttons across the to of screen are extremly hard to read

Q: The SPECIFICATION section does not indicate that the unit uses a “5 Volt DC adapter”, but does indicate the unit requires “3 AAA Alkaline batteries”. Can the ‘display unit’ function fully with ONLY the AAA batteries? I do not have access to 120 Volts

- A: I don’t have access to hydro (120 Volts) Using an inverter and a car battery would work - I could use a small solar panel to top up the battery but I’m unsure as to how much power the AC adapter would draw, thus how long a good deep cell battery would last.5 years agoHelpful?

- A: Actually I have two of these units and really enjoy their information. One of the anamometers got heavy rain in the battery compartment and rusted and stopped transmitting. I linked its base to the new weather station and now have two fully functioning displays.2 years agoHelpful?
