Bought this about three months ago. It’s sitting on our deck. The shade is great and I have plants hanging from it. Just have to figure out how to make some privacy curtains. Took us two days to put together so don’t think it will be one day.

One part of our deck was not being used much because in summer it’s too hot and in winter it’s too wet. This louvred roof solves both - when the sun is too direct, we close it up to where it’s just right. Rain gets channeled off the sides and down the legs. As a bonus, all the tree debris (needles, pollen pods, branches, etc) stays off the patio furniture. It looks great too, and the flat roof doesn’t block the view. To assemble it, there aren’t too many pieces, and it all fits together solidly. My wife held the opposite posts upright for a few minutes, but otherwise it was easy enough to do as one person.

  • A: Hi Lulu, Thanks for your question. For brick or stone paving floors, drill holes first then fit spiral ground anchors for secure installation. For loose gravel ground, ground anchors won’t work, weighted bases are recommended instead. Hope this can help you!
