CANVAS Whistler Outdoor/Patio Sofa Sectional Set, Grey, 4-pc

I purchased the patio furniture online from our local store in South Surrey and picked it up with the assist of my neighbour who has a pick up truck. When I began to put it together, it was clear as soon as I opened the box that one of the welds was not done properly and was split through about 80% of the way through. I immediately called the store but they did not have any more of the set so they said they couldn’t help me directly, but did provide the number of the Richmond Canadian Tire store on #3 Road. I called that store and they had one set, so I could exchange the broken piece for the one they had in the store. The issue is that they would not hold the item past the end of the day, and because of the size of it, it would not fit in my SUV (and my neighbour who helped me initially pick up the entire set with his pick up truck was away for 4 days and couldn’t assist me). I am disappointed that the store wouldn’t hold the piece and they would not transfer it to the South Surrey store. I will need to find a company to weld the broken section at my expense, which is clearly not what anyone would expect to have to do with a brand new set right out of the original boxes (and this is a $2,300 set, so it’s definitely not one of the cheaper models!) This is not the customer service that I would have expected from such a venerable Canadian company. I have attempted to speak with someone at the store and have put in well over 3 hours between calls that no one picks up or placed on hold and no one comes back and picks up the phone. Disappointed, frustrated, angry are all things that I’m feeling about this experience with Canadian Tire. Buyer beware! (I will update with another review should the situation change)

We loved the product at first, but after our 3rd summer (where the couch has been undercover, out of the elements) every single one of the couch cushions is fraying at the seams and Canvas does not sell any replacement parts!!! We tried raising our concern with Canadian Tire, even asking to purchase new cushions, but the manufacturer is not set up to sell parts to the consumer, they only cover things under warranty. After the warranty is up, you're out of luck with this product and Canadian Tire is no help!! Purchase at a better retailer, who will stand by their product and help their customers. Overall very dissatisfied.

Sleek and comfortable. Super easy to assemble and cushions stay secure neat.

We are going into our 4th summer with this set and we love it, with the exception of the seam quality of the cushions. This year we noticed the seams on about 6 of our cushions were fraying and starting to rip. The product says it holds a 5 year warranty. Let's see if it's true. The set is very comfortable and durable, other than the above mentioned issue.

This couch is amazing. This is our 3rd summer with it and it’s held up amazingly. The frame is off line a bit but it’s not a huge deal to us. Zero cracking or rusting to the frame and we don’t cover it at all. Cushions have held up well. The biggest issue we have is the back cushions do not have toes or anything to attach them to the frame and in the wind they fly across the yard. This was a huge issue this year because I thought one was lost. I called the service number and they were willing to do absolutely nothing about trying to help replace it. I couldn’t even buy a cushion from them. Zero care that you pay $2000 for their couch and no effort to assist you. Luckily I found said cushion tucked away in the winter storage spot I had just overlooked it. I will be adding some Velcro to keep them on the frame now because there’s zero chance in a replacement if one does get lost or wrecked.
