The unit never worked properly. Auger jammed the first use and the second time it shut down with an error code. Returned it. Makes sense why it was on clearance.

Great Portable Smoker, Amazing Results, Wrong Color Sent

I picked up the Pit Boss Portable Tabletop Wood Pellet Grill because I wanted something truly portable, a smoker I could take to the campsite, the park, or tailgating without hauling a full‑size unit. On that front, this little grill absolutely delivers. I’m taking one star off because I ordered the Mahogany version but received the black one instead. Not a deal‑breaker, but still disappointing when you’re expecting a specific finish. That said… the performance is phenomenal. So far, I’ve run four racks of ribs through it and a batch of smoked mac & cheese. The ribs came out tender, juicy, and perfectly fall‑off‑the‑bone. The smoked mac & cheese had an incredible smoky flavour, honestly one of the best I’ve made. A spatchcocked chicken, that was incredibly tender, super juicy, and loaded with deep wood‑smoked goodness. For a compact, portable pellet grill, this thing punches way above its weight. It heats consistently, holds temp well, and produces that classic wood‑smoked flavour you want from a pellet unit. If you need a travel‑friendly smoker that still delivers restaurant‑quality results, this is a fantastic choice. Just double‑check the color when ordering.

Q: Since we have a limited amount of pellets flavors available from pitboss, can we use the vermont castings pellets in this grill? Both grills are made by Danson. WIll it work?

A: Yes you can use Vermont Castings pellets or any 100% all-natural hardwood pellets that are meant for pellet grills. Never use pellets meant for heaters as they often contain softer wood and other impurities that can limit the effectiveness of the grill and affect the taste of your food.
