On the third time using this smoker it would not even work anymore got it for Christmas used it for New Year’s Eve got it back out again a month later worked fine now the third time it won’t even ignite or heat up or do anything it just gives a code.

Used it twice and it broke

The internal drive shaft broke free from the auger. I was able to fix it by plug welding the shaft in the auger as showing in second picture, Pit boss did send me a new auger and it was a one piece design so that tells me that it was a known issue. Customer service was not toll free, cost me three international calls. And I still had to use the chat on the web site to get the issue resolved. I’m very disappointed in the customer service, don’t think I will upgrade to a bigger Pit Boss. I will switch brands. Buyer beware, do your research. Would not recommend based on quality and customer service.

I bought this thing three months ago. Every time we go to use it the auger don’t work.which it every weekend this summer.So I have to take it apart and try to fix it..I’m just about to throw it away..

Q: Since we have a limited amount of pellets flavors available from pitboss, can we use the vermont castings pellets in this grill? Both grills are made by Danson. WIll it work?

- A: Yes you can use Vermont Castings pellets or any 100% all-natural hardwood pellets that are meant for pellet grills. Never use pellets meant for heaters as they often contain softer wood and other impurities that can limit the effectiveness of the grill and affect the taste of your food.4 years agoHelpful?
