Our process is designed to limit fires and favor larger pieces, however charcoal remains a fragile natural material. Breakage can occasionally occur during transport or storage if handling conditions vary. This does not impact performance, but we continue working closely with our logistics partners to minimize handling‑related breakage.

Please Note: When properly oxygenated, small pieces generate the same heat as large ones. Performance depends more on airflow than on size. Hope this helps!

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Beaver Charcoal is made from a mixture of Maple Hardwood, Beech Hardwood and Birch Hardwood (95% of the wood used to make the Lump Charcoal is Maple Hardwood). Hope this helps!
