A: These cast iron grates are coated with porcelain to help prevent rusting. To keep from scratching or chipping the porcelain, use a grill brush with brass or stainless steel bristles or a wooden scraper, which molds to your grill's grates and cleans without scratching. Brush the grates while the grill is warm, either after preheating or just after food comes off. This will ensure that any food or debris is loose and easy to remove. To maintain optimal life of the grates, most grill makers recommended to seasoning the grates.

Q: Where do you find your model number? I want to buy new grates, but I can't figure out the model number of my bbq. I've looked all over the appliance, but all I see is Centro. Anyone know where to find this information if I don't have my original receipt?

Q: I have a centro bbq model number 85-1114. i would like to a different grill for it. do you have a grill that will fit my bbq. i would like a grill that is not zigzagged but one that is straight because it is hard to clean.

Q: Size of Grills? I have a model 85-1103 Centro BBQ. Do these grills fit this BBQ? The ones it cae with are a rough cast iron and very hard to clean. I am hoping these porcelain are easire to clean

A: These cooking grates are not made for your mode. In order to get the best performance, longevity and non-stick capabilities from your BBQ, you must clean and coat your grates with vegeatble shortening and bake either in your conventional oven or on your grill.
