This is a great little grill. Heats fast and hot. I have not done steak yet. Our budget is still recovering from purchasing the grill. But I do use the sear function. With chicken thighs I nearly burn them over high heat and then turn off two burners and let them finish cooking. Works great! It does a fine job on burgers and other things as well. The even heat spread makes things easy and no flare ups.

Excellent grill for our cooking needs Two minor issues worth mentioning 1 when raining the drip pan fills with rain water due to side vents and open back of grill 2 the grill hood cover handle gets hot as grill temp goes up. Hot to touch
