Nice heavy duty construction. Instructions were a little vague but manageable. Does not get hot enough to sear which is disappointing. Stickers on side trays were extremely hard to remove.

Had it a few weeks and found it’s not built anywhere near the quality of my Weber that I just gave to a friend. Bought new because I don’t have natural gas in near house. Disappointed!

Great Even Heat

Love the even heating, the grill takes a little longer to heat up than my previous BBQ but man it makes it nice for grilling. The thermostat works well used it for potatoes, holds the heat better than my previous BBQ. Overall a nice step up.

Bought it because vermont castings used to be a solid company, the bbq is cheap junk, the lid doesnt close properly and seems cheap, buy a napoleon instead

Great solid bbq. Assembly is straight forward. One of the simplest I’ve had to put together. Solid construction. Heats up fast with great control. The oven feature is awesome. Warranty registration completed and found a part replaced under warranty. Was shipped and delivered under a week. All and all a great bbq with great support ! A great purchase of a great product !!

Q: Does it come with a cover

  • A: Good morning, the Unit comes with a hinged lid over the grill area but does not  include a cover to keep rain off the unit.  The BBQ works well, but we had one of the caster wheels fall off, due to weak plug welds holding the bracket to the frame.  A new lower frame assembly was sent, which required unbolting the lower assembly and reinstalling the new unit.

Q: Can this BBQ get up to 600 degrees for searing?

  • A: The reason I bought this is because it is convertible to natural gas. There were no instructions in the BBQ manual for the conversion, I had to watch a video t do it. I got it a month ago and used it three times. From the beginning I observed that it doesn't get to 600. Actually, I think that this is badly designed. The cast aluminum cookbox, which was another of the reasons I bought it proved to have no cast bottom. That was replaced by a thin shhet of metal which is the reason It is losing heat. Whatever long time keeping the burner to maximum, the tempertature never gets to 600 . Instead a lot of the heat goes through the bottom of the cookbox in the toolbox below. I would like to know how I could get my money back.

Please also note there is an interactive 3D app called BILT that is free to download for both iPhone and Android users.
