Perfect size for us. Heats quickly and does a great job.

This smaller Vermont Casting BBQ is very well finished and quite attractive. It all seems to work well except I haven't been able to get the auto-ignition working yet. Connecting the wiring harness to the ignition module isn't as straight-forward as it might be. There are 4 wires, all with similar spade-style connectors. It would help if the manufacturer had made the two sets of wires different colors so they can be easily identified. So far I haven't been able to get the auto-ignite to work, but manual lighting with a match or lighter is easy. I will have to contact Vermont Casting to see if they can troubleshoot my problem.

Nice looking, and was excited to start using, but beware ... The assembly instructions are poor, not as bad as some I have seen but still very frustrating. Not all parts are labeled, however the instructions refers to all parts by picture and a label, e.g. A2. The very first page of assembly, refers to a part that I had to find by going through the whole box of parts, and compare by to the picture. A few pages into the assembly manual, it starts referring to 'do not tighten' or 'tighten', which then had me wondering about what I should have done for the pages that did not have this specific instruction - should I be tightening the fasteners or not??!! And the starter did not work. The instructions show picture with the negative end of battery to be inserted first, however the troubleshooting in the manual contradicts that, indicating "ensure that the negative side is out towards the battery cover". Lastly, the connectors in the picture for the ignition module show two red and two black wire, and the connection points are labeled "1" and '2". However, there are 4 black wires, not red wires! So I thought I would swap them around to find the right configuration, but the first wire I pulled off broke, separating the wire from the spade connector. Now I'm going to have attempt to repair the wire/connector.

Superb construction! Love the temperature control function. Though as others have indicated, it take a bit longer to get up to 500-degrees than I’d expected. Presumably it will heat up faster on a full propane tank, though it takes a bit of time on a half empty tank as my previous name brand grill also did.
