Overall nice product and good build quality. The 4 small tabs on the top are not useful (they are too short to hold the grill grates safely, and not needed for the dome screen - that is too big to "fall" inside).

This is a great fire bowl, the paint on the bowl is not fire safe and will burn off after first use and it will show raw metal which is disappointing. Outside of that it's great.

Q: We bought this and build the fire in the rack which didn't work very well as the embers all fell through the rack meaning we did not get a warm fire at all. Do others build the fire without the rack?
