No English. French & reverse French only.

I bought this and realized it’s all in French on both sides. I’d like a replacement with proper English so I don’t rein my pool chemistry trying to figure out what “moins” and “choc” mean.

This item is in both English and French as per Canadian government guidelines. Choc means shock in english and moins means less in english. The English is right underneath the French.

Q: The box specifies this can be used to measure "TAC plus". What exactly is this product or chemical?

A: Hi Damian, Alkaline Plus and Tac Plus are the same. TAC + is used to raise the total alkalinity of the pool water. A good alkalinity level helps keep the pH level in check. It makes the pH less sensitive to sudden weather changes or the use of excessive chemicals. If the total alkalinity (TA or TAC) of the water falls between 100 and 150 ppm, the pH will remain stable.

A: No it measures liquid like chlorine or dry chemicals by volume. You would need test kit or test strip thats designed specifically for calcium

A: Hi Steve, Choc Chlorine is a concentrated chlorine solution normally used to start-up your pool while Hypo chlorine is less concentrated and used to maintain your pool water. Thank you,

Q: weight is based on Aquarius products only? ie other brands may be inaccurate based on volume...

A: I've had a inground pool for the last 30 years. All the chemicals weigh pretty much the same. Besides after you put the chemicals into the pool, according to the test strips, you should do another test. Accuracy to a gram or two isn't going to make any difference overall.
