Big reduction in operating costs

We bought the insulated hot tub cover with the tub itself. It is very efficient, with outside temp about 8 Deg C, and the hot tub heater off, the water temp only dropped about 5 degrees overnight. The cover makes sense environmentally and financially.

Q: Is this intended to go over an existing cover or can it be a cover on it's own? We replaced our old cover with this one and it's taking on water making it very heavy to take off and on. Is this a defect?

  • A: This is an extra insulated cover. Leave the original inflatable cover in place and cover everything with this.
