    honestly this rack system is not great at all the quality of the materials doesn't seem too bad but it doesn't seem to support even a light weight canoe very well and even though the valve was tight it deflated itself on the first trip. on top of that it does not protect the roof well at all as I now have a large dent in my roof. do not recommend just spend the extra coin and buy a proper roof rack.
