A great first rod!

My 4 year old is having a great time learning to cast with this rod. It's simple enough that he can cast and reel it in all by himself. The size is great for small hands and it has pretty good power behind it. A great starter rod to teach kids to fish. The Spiderman design is fun and helps to keep interest. It was quite simple to set up and the rod itself is lightweight and quite durable. The practice plug is great for learning without any danger.
