best rod at CT

i have used the nicest ugly stiks. I've had the cheapo Shakespeares, and god knows how many others there is combo that rivals this. the 3000 size reel is plenty powerful for 95% of situations. i know it may not he intended for salt water, but here in pei were surrounded by it. the rod is rated for 3/4oz. This is one of those under promise and over achive figures. i use 1oz sinkers for mackerel fishing and 1.5oz for striper.the beauty of this rod is it has enough power for big chunk baits on a 9/0 hook and its light enough to put a spinner on and catch trout. if you are primarily going after large fish, well, get a bigger rod. However, if you find yourself rotating through different species, this rod will not let you down. As a helpful note, i switched the 3000 reel to a 4000, same model, so it looks correct. This made it more capable for those larger fish. i use 20lb power pro with about 50 feet of 20lb florocarbon leader
