These heavy-duty tent stakes are made of steel with a wide nail head on top allowing you to drive the tarp stakes into the hardest ground. They went in so easily on ground that I normally can't get tent pegs into properly. Due to their shape they didn't quite go down all the way but they still held very strongly, the tent didn't move at all when others around us were lifting. They're also VERY easy to pull up thanks to their head shape.

Strong pegs, with a weak head

Strong pegs, but a weak head. I bought these to stake down a 10ft canopy. They were easy to drive into a field with a rubber mallet, and held it down with no issues. However when I pulled them out, I discovered the plastic heads are too weak to be used for that purpose. I snapped the hook off one of them, and when I used the eyelet to pull the rest out I can see clear stress on the plastic. Once the plastic breaks off the utility of them will be much less.
