The glass was broken in the package. The customer service was not pleased with my exchange. I chose to go with the more expensive option and hoping that one works better.

Really bright and useful with the "legs" out but on the expensive side and a standard propane tank lasted me about 3.5h. I wasn't able to light it with the piezo button although I could smell the gas... Personally I would prefer one with only one mantel.

Q: There is an extra metal piece in the top of the box (not mentioned in the instructions). What is it used for?

  • A: It’s a bracket to separate the lid from the globe. It raises the lid off the globe about a half inch to let the heat vent.The nut still fits on top and the swinging handle actually goes through a set of holes that are cleverly placed.It’s a good little addition. Helps to avoid cracked glass globes.
