Of course I catch the newest variant of COVID as my husband recovers from surgery and as our daughter was forced to move home. Only 1 bathroom in the house and no spare rooms. Spent the first night of quarantine on an air mattress. This 59 year old menopausal woman (with COVID) was not a happy camper the next morning. Two cups of coffee later, a browse through the CT website and I found the answer! This cot saved my husband and child from being kicked out of the house and living in a hotel while I recovered. The cot is very firm and VERY sturdy. Remember the part about a menopausal woman? Yay, the extra weight is there too and this baby performed like a champ! My only comment would be that if you have shorter legs, it can be challenging to get out of, especially when you’re older and feeling like dog vomit. I would give this a 9/10, only because (remember menopausal body?) there was barely enough room for me, the cat, and the dog. Good thing the fish can sleep on their own.

Great Idea for Tenters

I really enjoyed the cots. They are good quality and somewhat comfortable, and definitely better than sleeping on the ground. I didn't know such things existed and they certainly made our camping trip a whole lot more enjoyable. I just wished they had a higher weight limit.

Q: how much does it weigh?

A: I saw the package at the CanadianTire store and it says 27 lbs. There is no info on frame and canvass material (waterproof) but I'm guessing frame is made of steel (not aluminum) hence the weight. Also, if you google "Slumberjack Tough Cot ", you will find the same exact configuration with the exception maybe of the canvass material.

A: Weight limit is 300lbs, width of this cot is 95CM (including the end bars), sleeping area width is about 73CM. This cot needs assembly.
