May require shimming

This item is not the specified dimensions and is too narrow by about 0.15 mm. The top part of the post where the saddle sits is also narrower than others I have used. The metal is soft and notches easily, meaning it may be difficult to make fine adjustments to seat height after it's been left in place for some time. Disappointing, as seat posts to fit old Raleigh Sports and similar utility bikes are often hard to find and the OEM seat post is usually very short.
