Very bad

This bike looks like a mountain bike, but it does not feel like one that is actually built for hard riding. The Raleigh Peak uses a 24-speed Shimano setup, mechanical disc brakes, a 27.5-inch wheel size, a 6061 aluminum dual-suspension frame, and a VAXA alloy fork, but the official listing does not give clear suspension travel numbers or anything that makes it look like a serious trail bike. On top of that, Canadian Tire lists it at $849.99, which makes the weak overall setup feel even worse for the price. The biggest problem is that the suspension and shifting seem cheap and unfinished. One customer review on the Raleigh site says the suspension is not adjustable, and another says the rear suspension is stiff and the shifting cable had to be readjusted before it worked properly. That matches the overall impression: this bike feels like it needs tuning right away, and the components may vary by store, which makes quality control feel inconsistent. For a bike sold as a dual-suspension mountain bike, that is disappointing and honestly frustrating. If you ride anything rough, this bike does not inspire confidence. The suspension feels basic, the drivetrain sounds like it may need immediate adjustment, and the whole thing comes across more like a cheap entry-level bike pretending to be trail-ready. I would not recommend it unless you only want something for very light riding and do not care about performance.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought last week this bike. It was discounted 200 less than srp so i bought it in the cashier. Then i noticed the bike front tire was wobbling, the front derraileur didnt engage when tried to use higher gear, rims not alligned. brake, derraileur lever not tightened. Cashier told me no return, no refund, no exchange just 1 year repair.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Would this bike be big enough for a male 6 feet tall?

2 Answers
  • A: Depends maybe on your leg length. I wear a pant leg of 30 long. Bike fits good. I think it would be ok for leg length of 32. At 34 you might want to go to a larger size.
