More work than I was expecting :(

I know this isn't a high-end bike or anything, but I had my work cut out for me during the first week with this bike, and, to be honest, I don't think it's over. Not easy to adjust the seat and handlebar, and the kickstand hits spokes while riding. The kickstand was also squeaking while riding.

Poor Quality

The gear mechanism on the rear wheel broke while engaging 1st gear the day after the purchase. The dealer did not want to offer a refund. We had to escalate this to the manager to get a refund.

Q: Just got a Supercycle Pathway bicycle, would like to know the best gear to use for easy riding where there are inclines and slopes; would prefer to not be switching gears or is it preferred to use gears for optimum performance ? There are 7 gear shifts.

1 Answer
  • A: The lowest gear (largest cog) will be the easiest to pedal, and the highest gear (smallest cog) will be the hardest to pedal. Finding the right gear for the hill is a personal choice as there are different riding styles, but generally speaking the lowest gear will be the easiest to climb in.
