Terrible bike

I have rode this bike a handful of times over the years and today while changing gears the bike was damaged in multiple areas. Do not buy!!!

Not impressed.

They do not make Raleigh bicycles like they used to. These spokes are already rusty; I've had the bike for 6 months. I have tried various products to remove the oxidation to no avail! Some of the bolts and screws are also rusty. The paint does not hold up well to everyday scuffs and scratches-- Even the brake and gear those have scuffed the paint. I do not find this bike nearly as comfortable a rise as my last Giant Cypress (which was stolen as was this bike two days ago despite being locked up with a Raleigh=kryptonite lock combo. I had a Raleigh racing bike 50 Years ago that was an awesome bike! My new Raleigh albeit a very pretty bike, can't even begin to compare.
