Broke immediately

5 days ago

Two out of the three plastic handles broke immediately after installation. I got water all over my floor thinking I had closed the valve not realizing that the cheap plastic handle had busted causing it to spin freely. I was able to return without a problem.

Brittle Plastic Handle, Breaks Immediately

The handles look chrome metal, NOPE! They are plastic! All 3 in this pack cracked the handles on first turn. Packaging misleading too. Suggests they were metal at one time. DO NOT BUY! Find an actually metal handle for longevity. Canadian Tire should really remove these from the shelf and demand better. Extremely disappointing. Also tried one I installed 5yrs ago, handle broke off in my hand. The valve itself looks fine, handle is garbage so you’ll have to use a wrench in short time to turn it on/off.

Good price, easy to install in tight spot.

Inexpensive 3 pak of Shark Bite style stop valves (why not 4 pak or 2 pak… who needs 3 valves?… Hot/Cold/??). I used on copper pipe under vanity where space was tight for solder joint. Easy to apply, clean pipe and de-burr, mark pipe 15/16” from end and push on valve until it reaches the mark. Mine needed a little tap with a hammer for full insertion. Took a couple minutes. Works good. 25 year warranty against leaks. Approved for behind drywall although personally I prefer where I can see it like under vanity or Kitchen sink etc.

2 out of the 3 fittings were missing the interior ball to shut off water. I found out the first time the hard way with water rushing out the pipe wasting time and my clients money!
