Air hose reel

Air hose reel works mint, added my existing air hose onto the new line and lots of room in n this reel for both fifty foot hoses. Like the side stop pin, the simple fact it basically comes with the hardware, handle install was easy, new hose connection is already made and a length of air hose to go from the base of the new reel to the compressor also in the hardware. There are plain empty reels for sale, I did check those out but on sale these are a way better deal, no messing around trying to find connections and a piece of air hose to the compressor, this was definitely the best way to go.

Very impressed. Due to mounting requirements I had to purchase a longer hose to connect it to my compressor. Works very well. Easy to unwind/rewind. Excellent value for the money.

Q: What size are the threads? Will a 1/4" thread coupler work on this air hose or does it require 3/8" NPT?

Q: Manual says it does NOT come with screws for mounting and recommends 8mm x 45mm . However it DOES come with M16 wedge anchors (for concrete?) that fit the holes drilled in the mounting plate. Do I drill new holes or try to find larger M16 wood screws?

A: I screwed a piece of 3/4” plywood into the garage wall in order to screw into wall studs. Then used the anchors to fasten the reel into the plywood. Worked great for me.
