A: it's probably the circuit breaker reset switch/lever that is located above the 50a and 30a outlet. Make sure they are down which allows the current to flow thru the connected wire.

A: It’s 10 kw. It will run most of your house. My well pump and 5 other large Circuits are on the 45 amp plug. It powers all of that with no problems. The well pump is 240 v

Q: Recently my inground pool almost overflowed due to a combination heavy rain and power outage preventing me from draining it through the pump. Can this unit connect to my pool pump so I can backwash water onto the street through the pump as normal?

If the generator’s rated running and starting output meet or exceed those requirements, it should operate the pump without issue.
