A drill for real work

After making sure the battery was fully charged after purchase it was time to try this tool out! First impression was - “wow this thing is well built!” You can feel the quality vs other competitors frills we have have used previously. The most impressive feature of the drill when using is its torque, slow or fast the drill was able to spin a spade bit through a piece of 4x4 without effort. This drill has become my number 1 home drill - keep it readily available.. Only downfall is some may find it heavy/ a bit too much for elderly or ones who are not use to holding professional tools.

I use this around the house for some DIY projects, I love that it comes with its own case, the flashlight on top is an amazing feature, I didn't have to get one of the kids to shine their flashlights from their phones. It has a lot of power and is nice and light weight.

Maximum cordless hammer drill

The drill looks awfully similar to company that starts with a D. Can’t confirm but it’s what I suspect. There seems to be lots of power and many gear settings. The side handle is nice if you are holding in awkward positions. Comes with a carry bag one battery and a charger. Wish there was an additional battery for the price. If you are starting new this is good but if you already have another brand than might be hard to justify.

Disappointed

[Employee of canadiantire-ca] I was all excited when this 40v unit came on sale! I unboxed it all and it looked great. I soon became disappointed after putting the battery in place, squeezed the trigger and the trigger itself broke away... Very dis-heartening to say the least. I've always, always been pleased with the Maximum tool product line but this high powered hammer drill has let me down without even using it. I'll be returning asap which wont be an issue. Not sure if I'll try another or just go with a Makita, their products have never ever let me down, (and I have plenty). However I will say the Maximum 40 volt battery and charger is fantastic! The battery slides right in all my other Maximum 20 volt tools, very nice having that 5 amp hour! The charger works great also as it too accepts the 20 volt Max batteries I already have on hand. Good stuff! I give the battery/charger a full 5 stars, but unfortunately the Maximum hammer drill has let me down. Sadly I'm finding it hard to reccomend but maybe its just a one time thing.
