Q: Can you replace the chain on this???

3 Answers
  • A: Yes you can; quite easily. Just make sure you have the correct length chain. (Best way to ensure that is to take the old chain with you when you go to purchase its replacement.)

Q: Does this chainsaw cut horizontally. Probably a stupid question!

2 Answers
  • A: I'm presuming you're asking if it will cut horizontally to the ground so you can take down a small tree? Yes, it will do that. There's no need to split it in two from the top down <3

Q: The handle looks the same as the 10" Yardworks. Would this saw fit the Polesaw attachment that comes with the 10"?

2 Answers
  • A: The extension pole will fit into the handle of the Yardworks 9A Corded Electric Chainsaw. However, due to the weight of the larger saw and for safety purposes, WORX does not recommend using the extension pole with the 14-in chainsaw.

Q: Why wont the chain stay tight? Followed the instructions included with the saw, but after 10mins of use the saw continues to lose tension. Ive adjusted the tension as instructed, but just turning the saw on for a few seconds and its too loose, unsafe?

2 Answers
  • A: If your chain gets loose in a few seconds then your bar is most likely not seated in the tensioner correct.unplug your saw, open he side and check to see that the tension pin is in the bar . Operating a saw without tensioner I place can be dangerous as chan will come off quickly. Small electric saws it’s normal to have to readjust tension every 10 minutes or so depending what your cutting  and how sharp you chain is. Dull chains will get loose faster.

Q: Yardworks chainsaw, #054-5763-6. After use, it was leaking bar oil into a messy puddle on basement floor. I wanted it fixed. CTire replaced it with a new one. I used it for an hour. It also leaks oil until tank is empty. Mess. How to prevent this?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello Raven! Thank you for your question. To prevent leakage, ensure machine is left in a horizontal position (Oil Filler Cap (5) uppermost) when not in use. If leakage continues to occur, we recommend emptying the oil reservoir. - Cas
