I bought this product because my thermostat was located in direct sunlight, causing false temperature for the rest of the house. I installed with a sensor in my living room. Installation and instructions were clear and simple to follow.

Smart thermostats are a waste of time and energy. For minimal benefit (savings is nonsense), you get to control it with your phone. That's about it. In return, you'll restart it monthly (I have 2) for no reason, it will randomly disconnect from your wi-fi, your sensors will loose connections, again randomly, and their batteries will need to be changed 3-4 times a year. The old cheep manual thermostats work perfect, set 'em and walk away. Smart thermostats are a reminder of a bad decision I'm stuck with.

All the low level settings I wanted

This thermostat has a very rich set of options in its installation menu. The ones I used were: Temperature on/off threshold Minimum run time Extended fan run time after furnace/AC shuts off It also lets you set as many schedules as you want in a given day as long as they are 30 minutes long. It does a great job of allowing you to decide if you want to use the automatic features or disable them and set it up the way you want.
