Do these come with protective file on the solar panel? Cannot remove. Only light for 2 hours after full day is the sun.

I purchased 3 of these going on now about 4 years for my back deck 4x4 posts for the railing..They have worked amazingly over the years, staying bright and charging properly.
I liked them so much, I bought 6 more for fence posts, that I had previously bought cheaper lights for, that failed way too soon, and threw those in the garbage, replacing them with these lights that I know work well..
They cost a bit more than other ones that are available, but the reason being is they work and last so much longer . The LED lamp inside is bright, and can be seen from quite a distance.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Deck post light

Bought this to replace a different Noma deck post light. When I took the light out, I found that there were two pieces of plastic from the housing laying in the bottom of the box. So I returned it. Such poor quality, usually Noma products are good quality, such a shame.

Q: I took the top housing off and stored inside in the dark over the winter. I placed top back on this spring and put back on the post cap in full sunlight. There is no light. Do I need to purchase new 3.2 V 14500 lithium batteries?

- A: I have done all the things people suggested. I even purchased new lithium rechargeable batteries of correct voltage from Canadian Tire and the post lights do not light. I emailed Noma which is an American company and they said that any product problems in Canada are handled by Canadian Tire.3 years agoHelpful?

- A: Yes! it definitively fits the 5.5"x5.5" posts with the included adapter. I have 12 6"x6" posts (5.5"x5.5" finished) in my two-tier deck. I installed 10 Noma post caps (2 locations don't get enough sunlight). Installation is completely hassle free, amazing design from Noma to fit the 6x6 posts. Lumen is a little too bright for my purpose; price is a little high in my opinion, but this is the only lighted option I've found for my 6"x6" posts. I just found them this summer, wait to see how they perform over time. So far recommended.3 years agoHelpful?

- A: Skirt is optional, you don't have to attach it. Fasten a 1" slice of 4 by 4 post to the top of your railing, predrill, and screw this directly onto it.2 years agoHelpful?
