It's difficult to get it to come out of the tube. And the cap doesn't even have to have a pointy part to help you to pierce the tube. If you use scissors, the incision will be too big, so you have to find the right tool to pierce it (piercing with a knife isn't good because knives are pointy, there is an edge).

Thank you for posting your feedback on DAP WOODPRO All Purpose Wood Filler. All of DAP's various sized "squeeze tubes" should only require moderate hand squeezing action for application. Based on your description of the difficulty encountered while attempting to apply the product, it would appear that you may have purchased aged product (newly purchased may not necessarily be of recent manufacture). Likewise, attempting to apply thick paste-like fillers through too narrow of a tip opening can significantly increase the amount of force required to dispense the product. We are unclear as to your commentary indicating "And the cap doesn't even have to have a pointy part to help you to pierce the tube", as the packaging for the squeeze tube does not feature an inner foil seal. As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: "For squeeze tubes, knead the tube prior to cutting and extruding material.", indicating that the nozzle must first be cut. At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so we can obtain some additional information regarding your experience. When calling in, please be sure to have the package (squeeze tube) available, as we will need to verify the production code in order to determine the date of manufacture.

Fills large gaps well with multiple thin coats. Sands very easily and takes stain well. Overall a great product

Does the job but not great

Used this product to fill nail holes and joins in new trim around kitchen cupboards.
Product is difficult to squeeze out of container. Appeared a little dry so that it did not stick to the wood but kept falling off until pressed in place. Had a lot of waste from product drying too quickly and flaking off.

So far used it to cover brad nails on trip and it dries quickly and sands smooth. I would purchase again.
