The best upgrade for any home!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This Weiser Halo Touchscreen Smart Door Lock, Matte Black has been an amazing upgrade for my home. The matte black color makes it look modern and honestly it looks premium. It was easy to install as there was step by step instructions included. It gave me smart home vibe instantly after I connected it Bluetooth and WiFi in the app. The best part is that I unlock and lock the door no matter where I am. I also found out that it lets me create one time codes as well, in case I have an unexpected friend or relative. The number lock makes it easier for my kids to unlock the door even when I’m not at home and they don’t feel the need to carry the key along. This lock is just wow!

Battery life

My batteries would last a month or 2. Then I updated the lock set. Now the batteries last a maxim of 2 weeks. So I changed out the lock set to a an unused one I had. Batteries lasted 9 days. The response I got when I talked to a repesentative was the lock was purchased over a year ago. Wouldn't listen. So now I'm replacing my Wieser locks to another brand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

High quality and simple to use!

Absolutely fantastic, good quality/well made lock and I’ve already recommended it to my family! Super easy to install, I really prefer the touchscreen vs. one with physical buttons (we found that the numbers rubbed off), uses 4 AA batteries which are included in the box - and it’s a simple enough process to change them out. It also looks nice and modern on the door.

Disclaimer: you will require an internet connection for all the bells and whistles! I installed this for my parents on their exterior front door! Took about 30 minutes. You get to create a custom code and it works directly with Alexa and google assist! You can remotely activate- lock and unlock- meanwhile receiving notifications, lock events and any tamper detection…. With no extra subscription/fees required! I also like that you can create custom codes to whoever enters your home - great for family and friends. It has high performance, the touch screen is dependable, solidly built with great Weiser warranty. Little maintenance when it’s setup!

Waste of Money

Stay away unless you love replacing the batteries weekly - and I use it only once or twice a day max. I followed all of the suggestions to optimize battery life and they did not help at all. I expected way more from this lock, the ezset on my garage needs replacing once a year and I use it a lot more often. It's an expensive lock and I regret the purchase.
