A: The material for this item is plastic and can be painted using paint that is specifically made for plastic. That said, this is a wall guard and designed to absorb door banging so it might be difficult to avoid paint flaking. The consumer might be better advised by paint manufacturers – which paint type is ideal for the material and application.
