Great Espresso Machine, great cup coffee!

Setting up this espresso machine was effortless. The intuitive touchscreen provided all the information we needed. After a couple of experimental brews, we were consistently making espresso that rivals major coffee chains with their expensive equipment. We highly recommend the Barista Touch. Thank you, Breville, for delivering a true taste of Italy right to our kitchen.

First expresso machine we ever bought. Makes a really nice cup of whatever you like. Customize your settings or juat go with the presets. Frother is amazing. Set your extra hot if you like. User friendly and easy set up. Should have bought this a decade ago. Was on sale at Cdn Tire. Best investment ever especially for all the coffe lovers out there. JUST BUY THIS!!!!

Disppointing Peformance for an expensive machine

I received this machine as a gift from my boyfriend in December 2024, and while it worked well initially, the experience quickly went downhill. By March 2025, the machine stopped functioning properly — it would no longer brew even a single shot of espresso, despite being set to brew two.
I followed all troubleshooting steps in the manual, including descaling, cleaning the portafilter, and replacing the water filter, all with official Breville products. I’ve also used high-quality beans — starting with Propeller Coffee (which came with the machine) and switching to fresh weekly roasted beans from a local roaster.
The machine has only been used for about two weeks per month from January to August 2025, as we were away for extended periods. Despite this light usage, I have to factory reset the machine once or twice a week just to get a proper brew.
I regularly adjust settings based on grind and extraction time to stay within the 8–12 second range. Still, the issue persists.
For an expensive machine, this has been a deeply frustrating experience. The product is unreliable and has cost me more money in beans due to the constant need to brew multiple times to get a normal cup.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Maybe just a little picky but …

There are 2 drawbacks - one is cleaning the machine after each use and the second is that a regular sized cup doesn’t fit - that’s why a star is missing. It makes fabulous coffee and love love love the accessories and the overall look.
