Extraction time difficult to achieve

It is difficult to get the correct extraction time. I had one machine that was great but the steamer stopped working and I was sent another machine. This one I cannot seem to get dialed in. I have tried and tried to get the 30 second mark for extraction which I got from watching the Breville youtube videos when I received my first machine. That one I had dialed in, this new one not so much.

absolutely love this espresso machine! the built in tamper takes the guesswork out of the tamping and saves time too. i used to work as a barista and although it is not as powerful as a commercial machine it is amazing quality and makes every morning cup of coffee taste amazing! my only regret is not buying this sooner.
