I would buy this

I am very pleased with my Revolution Pet Pro carpet cleaner. I bought it to replace am earlier model Bissell upright. This machine has none of the finicky little tabs and the dirty water tank is much easier to clean. The brush area is accessible and easy to clean. Lastly this machine has an upholstery vacuum and an upholstery cleaner. In addition, there is a bare floor attachment that can be purchased.

Bought this about 3.5 years ago after moving into our new house with cream colored carpets. have used it 8-10 times for small spills in that time and while it worked quite effectively, we went to use it recently and it stopped working--it turns on and makes the same horrendous level of noise as always, but smells like burning and does not actually function. At a cost of roughly $50/cleaning (all small spot cleans, due to spills or cat vomiting) thats a very high cost.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this machine to replace my very old bissell carpet shampooer , the difference is amazing, after the first clean with my new machine my rugs ann carpets are looking like new again. I really like the way my new machine comes apart for cleaning, the tanks are easy to fill and empty , the addition of the pet hair filter on the upholstery tool is amazing. I have 2 dogs that like to sit on my furniture. I would really recommend this machine.

Q: The product name is Proheat 2X.Does the machine heat the water or just uses hot water manually poured in tank?

A: It won't heat up cold water for you - BUT the hot water you put in is supposed to be kept hot. Not terribly certain if it does ... however, it does do a good job! My one complaint is that my old machine kept solution separate from the water tank and would mix/use only what you need at the time. By having to mix all the water with this model, if there is some left over, you would have to empty and heat up next time.

A: The machine does an awesome job! My only reservation would be the size of the tank. The older models had a much bigger tank. If you don't mind refilling and emptying fairly often on bigger rooms, then I'd say, go for it.

A: It depends what setting you have it on. There is are 3 settings that indicate how deep you want it to clean. The express setting doesn't take long to dry, but the deepest clean will take a few hours to dry.

Q: I just did my carpeted stairs using the hose, very little dirty water went in the tank and the spin brush part is leaking a pool of water on my floor. What am I doing wrong?

A: Darshan, this machine could be used on area rugs if they are safe to deep clean. It's not meant for dry vacuuming and won't work well for that purpose as it's a carpet cleaner.
