Works fine except for thermostat - Noma oscilating digital tower heater 24 inch

The thermostat does not seem to work properly. When the heat is on it stays at the same temperature even though the room gets warm so it does not shut off in a timely manner. When the heat is turned off the thermostat does show an increase in room temperature, but does not when the heat is on. I guess it might eventually shut off if the room temperature rose enough. I use it as a spot heater and manually turn it off when the area gets warm enough. Otherwise it seems to work fine and is quiet.

I bought this product end of February 2026. My smaller room heater was starting to quit. It heats really well. There is a smell that the old heater and the new heater have that I don't know why there is a smell. It happens for about 40 minutes per day, and then it goes away. Even with this weird smell, the tower works really well.

A: It comes with a plug in cord. I never saw any batteries so I don't think it is chargeable

A: Yes it is. I have brushed against it a couple of times and it was room temperature despite sending out warmth. Plus it's nice and quiet.

A: I was just looking for how to do this myself and figured it out on my own - if you hold both the plus and minus sign on the unit itself for a few seconds, it will switch to Celsius.

Q: I like the thermostat feature however after it reaches set temp it turns off? In the manual it doesn’t mention if it’ll turn back on on its own? Besides the 8hr timer on low/high, isn’t the thermostat mode supposed to “maintain” set temp or only reach it?

A: The heater will cycle on and off based on the set temperature. Thermostat feature will maintain the desired temperature.
