lightweight stove top option

With so many options to choose from I took a chance on the VIDA (Paderno's off brand). Although the cooking vessel is made from a light weight non stick aluminum which allows you to place the "insert" directly on the stove top before putting in the slow cooker (if you wanted to sear the roast, or chicken prior to slow cooking). Easy to clean, adequate size, simple operating buttons, and I like the added feature of the lid tie downs for transport. I have purchased recently and used 4 times with no complaints. The light weight of the vessel makes it so much easier to store in the fridge afterwards, and less cumbersome for washing.
