    Bought this with the kicker 400w mono block amp sold at Canadian tire. First impressions, light build quality and feel. Not a dual voice coil and only a 4ohm option. Sub’s dust cover and surround has a cheap plastic feel. The rear basket is solid but the spring loaded speaker clips can only take up to maybe a 12 gauge wire. This was mounted in a custom made sealed box that fit under the passenger seat of my 1995 Chevy Pick up. When it first fired it up. It sounded too punchy, buzzy and out of sync. Immediately thought the sub was defective. However, after a week, the sub began to break in and wow what a difference. Crisp punchy bass and solid lows good for rock, edm, and hip hop. I forgot about the cheap feel of the sub and began to enjoy the music. For someone who wants clean and true bass that fills a car nicely without that “high school” boom this is for you. Sure it’s nice to have A nice 500.00 dollar alpine type r sub but this will do the same job at a lower price.
