Metal is weak

Bought these a s a gift my son this Christmas (Has a FIAT 500). Figured they were strong, since I also have a set for my SUV. First time he used was this week, bent WAY too easy. Returned.

Very useful for urban street parking

I bought these about 8 or 10 years ago for use in snow/ice. They work very well, particularly if there's one or two drive-wheels stuck in a bit of a "well". Clear away as much snow as possible, place these in the path "out", then drive slowly (not hard on the accelerator). If you use too much power they may bend.

Got me out of a rut

Bought after getting stuck twice in soft snow ruts in the alley. Got me out on the first try. My only complaint is the packaging: the lid doesn't sit back easily when you put the aids back in, and you have to fold them together and then put them in, which can be difficult as they are heavy. Why not just make the box big enough to put them back in one at a time?

Purchased these as a gift for my daughter. I have the same set and I have used them getting myself out of the snow as well as helping other people. They work great, I would highly recommend carrying a set in your vehicle at all times.

Great product

My car was stuck for more than 2 hours and nothing worked. A neighbor brought these traction aids, we placed them under the tires, and the car got out on the first try. Strong grip, solid steel, and easy to use. Definitely a must have for winter driving

A: I have attempted to use these on my skid steer, my car and my pickup truck. One time in mud and the other two times on ice. They did not work for me. They are too short to work properly in my opinion.

Q: Product description says this is for an "automobile". Will this withstand the weight of a class B campervan, GVW 9000 lbs? Also most reviewers have used this for ice or snow. Is this device truly recommended for use in muddy or sandy conditions?

A: While we bought these and haven’t used them yet. The specs on them indicate they are for “automobile” or “car” so probably not made for camper van. It does indicate for use in mud.
