Q: Is there a difference between this and the MotoMaster Wheel Bearing and Chassis Grease, aside from being marketed for farm/truck usage and the lower price? Is one lighter/thicker or less water-proof? I'll be using this for bicycle assembly/maintenance.
3 years agoA: Both are too thick and meant for extreme pressure. The wheel bearing one is for higher temperatures and speeds than the chassis grease. If washout is key there's a marine grease that is the most resistant to washout it looks blueish if I recall.

6 years agoA: The MotoMaster Farm & Truck Grease (0280840) specs are as follows: Four Ball wear: ASTM D2266, mm is 0.43. Water washout: ASTM D1264, %Loss @ 175°F is 1.4

14 years agoA: Currently, this product is a clay grease, non EP, NLGI grade 1.5. Later this year it will change to a lithium, non EP, grade 2 grease of same type of performance.
