Q: Will this charge my battery if it’s completely dead and I leave it plugged in on a jeep Wrangler
10 months agoA: Yes it should charge the battery as long as the battery is healthy enough to take a charge. If the battery is completely discharged, it can freeze, at that point the battery is no longer capable to hold a load even if you charge it.

Q: is this good as a trickle charger when covering a car outdoors for the winter?
a year agoA: If your vehicle is older or has few electronics, this charger should suffice. However, newer vehicles or ones loaded with lots of electronics constantly draw battery power and a 0.8A charger may not be powerful enough to overcome this level of discharge. We would recommend a charger rated at least 1.5A such as the MotoMaster Simple Series 3A model (011-1964) or 1.5A Onboard model (011-1962).

Q: On the single LED model charger, what does a flashing amber indicate (this indication does not appear to be mentioned here or in the product literature). I have tried this on a number of batteries (some healthy, some not) with no discernable difference.
4 years agoA: Green flashing….charging Green solid….charged,maintaining Amber solid….power on no battery detected or battery severely discharged <1.5V may not be safe to charge Red flashing….fault/error abnormalities detected, defective battery or short circuit Red solid….. polarity reversed reverse connection

Q: Anyone know if this would work to supply power to a 12v diesel heater?
20 days agoA: It has a very low output, about 0.4 amp. I don't think it will power a heater for very long.

Q: My battery is in the trunk. Is it safe to close the trunk on the power cord and if you attach and leave on the ring connections I assume that you must be careful to keep them apart?
2 months agoA: You should look at your trunk closure to find an area that would be suitable to run the cable out. Usually, there is a rubber seal that would provide sufficient gap/cushion to do so without pinching the cable. With your battery located in the trunk, there should also be remote jump start posts located under the hood - this may provide you with another option to where you can charge your battery from. Yes, the ring terminals are just like clamps. While this charger has short circuit safety built-in, it's always recommend to keep the clamps or ring terminals from touching each other (or a common piece of metal).

Q: I bought 2 battery tenders.Why do the .80 amps battery tender charge and maintenances up to 13.40 volts and the 3 amps simple series charge and maintenance the same battery only up to 12.79 volts. Are they both right?

A: Réponse a la premier question, c'est oui. J'ai du par exemple enlever la batterie du véhicule et la laisser réchauffer à la température ambiante dans l'appartement, ensuite j'ai installé le chargeur et laissé charger tout la nuit. Depuis la batterie est revenue à la normale et fonctionne très bien. Je ne peu pas répondre à la deuxième question, je ne connais pas assez ça.
