These are great for 2 reasons. One, they add a bit more cold temperature handling when your sleeping bag is just a tad light. I'd say 3-5 C. Two, they keep your main bag cleaner, you launder this liner instead. Much easier. Adding this to your bag can save you having to buy another more expansive colder rated bag. And also in the middle of summer if you are trying to travel light, this liner bag is often all you need. I own 3.

Not sure about longevity. The liner is soft but feels cheap. I guess it's expected for the price. Couldn't tell a difference in warmth with this in my sleeping bag but the nighttime lows were still about 5 Celcius above the comfort rating of my bag. For the few nights that we camp near the minimum comfort temperature of our sleeping bags, this will likely do.

Been using it as an extra blanket on my bed. Really soft and warm, does the trick on those cold winter nights. It rolls up small and the zippers work great! The cat likes it too.
