10 days ago- A: No, I would not recommend using this fluid in a 2015 Maserati Ghibli. The 2015 Maserati Ghibli (power steering system) calls for Shell Spirax S1 ATF TASA (also known as ATF Type A Suffix A or MB 236.2 specification). This is essentially a specific Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) type, not a standard European central hydraulic fluid (CHF). The Canadian Tire “OEM Synthetic Power Steering Fluid, European” is formulated mainly for vehicles that use CHF 11S / CHF 202 type fluids (common in BMW, Mercedes, VW/Audi, Porsche, etc.). While some Maserati owners have used Prestone European-style fluids as a temporary top-up with no immediate issues, it is not the manufacturer-recommended specification. Best advice: Use the exact Shell Spirax S1 ATF TASA or a high-quality equivalent that meets MB 236.2 / Type A Suffix A.
