Q: In the detail section they say : " Must fuse battery input lead " What does this mean ???

  • A: This means that the relay needs a fused (likely 10A fuse for up to a 100 Watt load) 12 Volt power connection from the vehicle main fuse block!

Q: where is the flasher located? a clicking sound is comming from the flasher i think but do not know where it is locat.ed

1 Answer
  • A: Every vehicle will have a different location for their flasher. Generally all flashers are located with the fuse box/panel of the vehicle. We recommend all customers refer to their vehicle manual for specifics as the flasher is usually beside other relays; only the manual can accurately pin point where the flasher is.

Q: Will this flasher work in a LED only application where there will be minimal load? Anticipated load may be under 20ma.

1 Answer
  • A: Absolutely. The EP27 will work in LED only applications however it is not designed to work with that size load. Typically, with our LED flashers, we recommend at least 50mA or higher in order to function properly. The EP27 may still operate at that load but it may not operate at the desired functionality.

Q: Is this the horn fuse found in the engine fuse panel I need to replace the horn fuse found in the fuse box in the engine area. Is this the unit I need? I am driving a 1998 Chevy Venture with V6. Thank you, Ken

1 Answer
  • A: 20-1004 is a flasher (the switch that controls the turn signal). The horn fuse for your ’98 Chevy Venture is a 15 Amp mini-fuse. The basic fuse is 20-1606, or 20-1543 which is a “Mini-Glow” fuse that lights up when it burns out. The counter staff in the automotive parts department can assist you find exactly which part you need.
