NordicTrack E11.7 Elliptical Trainer

These things are junk. Bought an expensive one years ago, and literally blew it apart! Arms and all. Had extra self tapping screws and extra pieces of metal holding it together after the warranty expired! Too many moving parts that WILL wear out! All the positive reviews on here are just the new or occasional users for which it’ll last longer! Anyone serious into fitness will explode these ellipticals! Save your $$$$

Purchased exact same model from CT back in late 2020. Used for a little under a year (about 3 times per week, 30 min each). Took time off due to an injury. Started using the elliptical again mid 2023. So with just around a years worth of use, both foot pedal trays cracked, & the right foot tray literally started to disintegrate. For reference, my machine has been kept in a dry, heated, & stable environment since day one. Not only should this not be happening from such light use, the worst part is that it’s an absolute nightmare to replace the broken parts. Should really be as simple as unbolting the foot trays & swapping them out with new ones (about a 5 min process on other machines I worked on in the past). But this is an absolute nightmare to do so, & you just cause further damage to the machine because the material is so cheap. The material is extremely flimsy, bendable, & cheap. The slightest forces causes breaks or warping. Even the bolts are incredibly cheap & strip with the slightest of ease. It is near impossible to dismantle (without causing major damage) in order to fix a broken part. I will never purchase another piece of equipment from NordicTrack ever again, & I am absolutely fuming that I already need to go out & spend a small fortune on a new machine. I have owned a couple other ellipticals over the years, & I have always been realistic & reasonable in my expectations regarding its lifespan. Out of all the machines I have owned over the years, not only is this the priciest machine I have ever purchased, but also the junkiest & quickest to be sent off to the landfill. Total disappointment & waste of big money.

Just from a a years worth of activity, both pedal trays cracked & one literally started to disintegrate into pieces (FYI the unit has been kept in a well maintained, dry, & heated environment since day one). Not only should such damage not happen from such light use, but the worst part is that it is an absolute nightmare to replace the part. Something fairly simple (like swapping out a pedal tray), is a near impossible & extremely difficult to do & if you attempt it, you just cause more damage. The material is very flimsy, bendable, almost tin like. Even the screws they used on the design of this machine are awful. You must use tedious Alan wrenches, & the screws themselves are located in pockets that are super tough to get at, as well two screws stripped ridiculously easy in the process. So you can’t even get at what you’re trying to fix/replace part. I have owned a couple different elliptical units over the years. I’m 100% realistic & reasonable in my expectations that they only have so many years in them. This has not only been the priciest unit I have ever purchased, but also the junkiest. I will never purchase a piece of NordicTrack equipment ever again. I am absolutely fuming that I have to go out & spend a small fortune on a new elliptical, because this thing is falling apart already, & what should be a simple part replacement is a nightmare. As I mentioned, you just make things ten times worse by dismantling what should be an easy component to unscrew & swap out.

Extremely happy with this machine. The equipment is very heavy and sturdy and yet working on it is very smooth.
