Compared to last years model these are just not acceptable. The battery has been downsized (used to last at least 8 hours, now lucky to last 3) the solar panel is a quarter the size, so that even the far smaller battery does not charge fully.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I just picked up an 8 pack on sale. They look decent but I do have some concerns with the tab lock system and the 2/3AA batteries when they need to be replaced.

A nice accent

I purchased these a few weeks ago and placed them atop 4X4 posts I have in planters I have built in my garden. They look great but a word of warning, be really careful with these when installing. They would be pretty easy to break if you tried to force them at all which is what I suspect has happened with a few of the reviews I have read. Just take your time with them and I think you should be just fine. The amount of light from them is adequate and they really have made a nice difference to the yard.

Q: replacement part for 52-5065 I bought a set of 52-5065. 1 light of 8 doesn't work. Can I just get 1 replacement head instead of uninstalling all 8 to return to store?
