Outdoor timer

The timers are ok , i thought they would come on sooner to dusk was surprised yhat it is getting dark when they do light up. I have two that are 30feet apart and they light up about 2 minutes apart but all in all they do the job.

Q: We bought two of these timers and they worked well for a week. Then the lights stopped coming on. I found that the timers would only work on 0 hours. Trying to set a time like 1 or 2 hours made the lights turn off. The only setting that worked was 0 hours

A: I don't think I can be very helpful. The only setting I have used is the one that turns the lights on after sunset and then turns them off again after 8 or 9 hours. It has worked well. My only complaint is that the lights don't go on until it is really very dark outside, but that said I can understand why it might have been engineered that way to prevent lights from turning on when there are very heavy dark clouds that can make it fairly dark.

Q: Does this timer have to be outside if I bought the outdoor one? I am going to be storing my timer in the garage and don’t know if this timer has be outside to know when dusk is

Q: I set it for "d" which is dusk-to-dawn. 2 days later, the power went out for 5minutes and the unit forgot the setting. Is there some way to make that setting permanent?... or do I have to climb up to my ceiling-mounted outlet on my porch, every time?

A: There was a very tiny piece of paper with instructions within the packaging. I’m sure you could google the model number as well for help on the internet

Q: I plugged the unit and pressed 8 to keep the Christmas lights ON for 8 hrs. When dusk came it didn’t turn ON even when it got dark. Did I miss anything?

A: When you plug in the timer, you have to press the program button to pass F for off, O for always on and then continue pressing until you reach number 8. If you did this then the timer should work properly unless the photocell is covered and cannot detect light. Mine works fine but maybe yours will have to be exchanged.

A: F = OFF O = ON 1-9 = On at dusk and stay on for that number of hours A or R = Random, On at dusk and then for a random # of hours d = On at dusk, off at dawn

A: See the previous answer for what the display indications mean. Press the PROGRAM button repeatedly to cycle through all the options. There are no other instructions for this unit.
